Brad
Franklin,
Director of
Fierce Thought Boise
Brad Franklin became
interested in computers in 1981, long before most had any idea how they
would change the world, playing computer games in the library at his high
school and tinkering with the Apple II and TRS80 at the local computer
stores.
Brad purchased his first home PC, an IBM PS1 Desktop, in 1994 and
continued to push the technology to it’s limits, always wanting to make
the computer do more than it was originally designed for. Brad continued
to learn all he could about Microsoft MS-DOS and the subsequent releases
of Microsoft Windows.
In 1984 Brad began working at GI Joe’s, an Oregon based company with 20
retail stores in Oregon and Washington. Brad grew with the company,
working for them on three different occasions. He was promoted to
management in 1992, after having assisted in the opening of three new
stores during the preceding years. Brad was consistently recognized for
setting the standards of exceptional customer service. He also planned and
supervised promotional events such as the Ski Show at the Seattle Center
and the yearly Sidewalk Sale.
Brad continued to further his experience and develop his business
management skills while holding positions in management with Fred Meyer
and Ross Stores.
In 1997, Brad assisted in the development and management of a start-up
computer hardware and software retail store in Portland, Oregon called
Cyber Exchange, serving as the Store Manager until 2001.
Most recently, Brad has consulted with businesses and individuals for AT&T
Wireless (now known as Cingular Wireless) and T-Mobile, assisting them
with mobile communications technology and the associated wireless services
and features.
Brad is the owner of Boise River IT Consulting and has been an Internet
Consultant since 2005.
Brad is an Internet Consultant possessing a wide range of expertise. His
experience comes from managing teams of 15 to 35 employees achieving
yearly sales of 1 million to 5 million dollars.
Brad’s technical knowledge includes wireless communications, Microsoft
operating systems, Microsoft networks, Microsoft Office, Intuit
QuickBooks, website development,
e-commerce and internet marketing.
When not working on projects for his clients, Brad likes to rollerblade,
ski, and fish, visit the gym or spends time with friends and family.
